It gave us further insight on the way the Amhara currently live their life today. It showed us that they have great political influence, with a large role in Ethiopian government. It also helped us understand that although the Amhara are poor, they are proud of their heritage. It also clarified the roles that girls and boys play in society.

A paragraph of this book was devoted to Amharic tradition. It also helped us learn more about Ethiopian economy and where it stands in Africa.
